We have three focus areas in our VISTA program: STEM Education, College Access and Community Service.<\/p>\n<h2>NAU&#8217;s VISTA Highlights<\/h2>\n<p>In 2018-2019 alone our VISTA&#8217;s have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recruited over 119 volunteers totaling over 1260 hours of volunteer service<\/li>\n<li>Leveraged both in-kind and grant resources totaling over $67,000 dollars<\/li>\n<li>Provided STEM-related education opportunities for 2,500 students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What Are The Benefits?<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to the opportunity to make a difference, VISTA members receive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bi-weekly living stipend<\/li>\n<li>Education award equal to the Pell Grant<\/li>\n<li>Monthly bus passes &amp; $100 Safeway gift cards<\/li>\n<li>Professional development &amp; training<\/li>\n<li>Student loan deferment<\/li>\n<li>Healthcare &amp; nutrition assistance<\/li>\n<li>Optional childcare benefit<\/li>\n<li>Sick and vacation time<\/li>\n<li>Non-competitive eligibility for federal employment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Where Can You Volunteer?<\/h3>\n<p>The VISTA Program is available in the following locations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coconino County<\/li>\n<li>Maricopa County<\/li>\n<li>Mohave County<\/li>\n<li>Navajo County<\/li>\n<li>Pima County<\/li>\n<li>Yavapai County<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If Service<\/h3>\n<p>All VISTA AmeriCorps volunteers are required to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be 18 years of age or older<\/li>\n<li>Pass a fingerprint-based background check<\/li>\n<li>Be able to work in the
