Admission

Whether you love to travel, are an international student, or simply want to live in a dynamic community with students from around the world, your first step to make the International House learning community your new home is to apply.

Admissions process

Spring 2027 applicants

  1. Submit a Campus Living agreement
    Apply online to live on campus with NAU Campus Living through the NAU Housing Portal. The lease agreement for Spring 2027 will be available in Fall 2026. Do not submit the 2027-2028 academic year housing application.
  2. Select the International House in the Housing Portal
    The International House is one of the options for focused communities in Campus Living’s Housing Portal. Select your interest in living in the International House and complete the additional steps in the Housing Portal to apply.
  3. Notifications
    Applicants for Spring 2027 will be notified of their status around early December 2026. If accepted, a place in the International House will be reserved for you.
  4. Room assignments
    Students who are accepted into the International House will have their room assigned to them in the Housing Portal based on available space. If applicants have a roommate request, it will be considered at this time. Room assignments will be available in the Housing Portal in early January 2027.

Fall 2027 applicants

  1. Submit a Campus Living lease agreement
    Apply online to live on campus with NAU Campus Living through the NAU Housing Portal. The lease agreement for Academic Year 2027-2028 will be available in Fall 2026. Choose this lease agreement even if you will only be staying for the Fall 2027 semester.
  2. Select the International House in the Housing Portal
    The International House is one of the options for focused communities in Campus Living’s Housing Portal. Select your interest in living in the International House and complete the additional steps in the Housing Portal to apply.
  3. Notifications
    Applicants for Fall 2027 who already live on campus will be notified if they have been accepted into the International House on a rolling basis. Applicants for Fall 2027 who do not already live on campus, or who are new to NAU will be notified in the Spring 2027 semester if they have been accepted into the International House.
  4. Room assignments
    Students who are accepted into the International House who are currently in NAU on-campus housing will have a room selection time assigned to them to be able to select their International House room in the NAU Housing Portal. Depending on when they apply, students who are accepted into the NAU International House who are coming from off-campus or overseas will have their room assigned to them in the Housing Portal based on available space. If applicants have a roommate request, it will be considered at this time. This process will happen late in Spring 2027.
