Celebrating Judy Heumann: The Work Continues Symposium
Tuesday, October 8, 2024
du Bois Center, Aspen Rooms
Join us to celebrate Judy Heumann, considered to be the “mother” of the disability rights movement with a day honoring her leadership, activism, and legacy. The Commission on Disability Access and Design (CDAD), Club ADA (formerly NAU 4 All), and Disability Resources invite you to a day of learning and celebration centered around Judy Heumann’s lasting impact on the Disability Rights Movement. We will begin the day with our keynote speaker, Paul Grossman, a friend and fellow activist and end with a screening of the film Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution, which features Judy and her development into a leader in the Disability Rights Movement. This is an all day symposium and we welcome you to join for the full day or stop in to sessions as you are able. If you plan to join us for lunch, please complete the registration form.
