The Washington Center <\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

The Washington Center (TWC) Academic Internship program is a holistic internship experience for sophomores, juniors, and seniors from all majors and backgrounds to spend a summer or semester in Washington D.C. Students will apply to become a TWC intern, and then will work with a TWC program advisor to assist the student in applying for a specific internship site, leveraging TWC\u2019s network of over 400 partnered organizations, non-profits, and companies.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

During a TWC internship, you’ll engage in 3 activities: <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Work at your internship site, which is typically around 32 hours a week and via hybrid mode; <\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Professional Development programming, in which the student will enroll and\/or participate in 10 different professional development events (7 for summer terms) such as panel talks, workshops, keynote speeches, etc. that are run by TWC staff, and <\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Weekly academic course, where students choose a class out of ~12 options and enroll in a 3-hour course held at the RAF (more on this below)<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
