Ready to expand your experience at NAU by going on one of our Outdoor Adventure Trips? If so this is the place for you! OA offers many explorations almost every weekend during the school year. From biking to hiking and also rappelling, camping, kayaking, and so much more. OA offers a trips for all levels of experience and skill. If you have any questions or concerns about the physical requirements of your trip, please contact Outdoor Adventures at 928-523-3229. Jan. 28Grand Canyon South Rim Day Trip Have you ever wanted to see the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park in the winter? Now is your chance! It is a great opportunity to see one of the seven natural wonders of the world! We will head to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and spend all day exploring around the rim. We will also stop the marketplace for you to buy any and all of the merchandise your heart desires. This trip includes lunch, guides, and transportation to/from the Grand Canyon. $75beginner
Feb. 4Horseshoe Bend/Antelope Canyon Guided Tour Join NAU Outdoor Adventures for an exciting day trip to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend in Page, AZ! We will take a guided tour of the world renowned Antelope Canyon and take in everything it has to offer. We will then check out Horseshoe Bend and get all the photos you could ever imagine. Some would say both of these spots are Instagram worthy! These sites are perfect for capturing beautiful photos and enjoying the natural landscapes of the desert southwest. This trip includes lunch, guides, and transportation to/from Page, AZ. $250beginner
Feb. 18Red Rock Yoga in Sedona Relax and reset with this peaceful outing. Enjoy panoramic views of the Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness in Red Rock State Park while partaking in a yoga flow and meditation practice led by our very own certified yoga teacher. During the flow, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding red rock, making Sedona one of the top destinations in the southwest. This trip includes lunch, guides, and transportation to/from Sedona. $90beginner
Feb. 24 - 26Grand Canyon National Park Camping Join us for an epic weekend of camping on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon! We will stay in one of the beautiful campgrounds on the South Rim, and enjoy multiple days exploring everything the South Rim has to offer. Enjoy the ease of car camping while in one of the 7 natural wonders of the world! This trip includes all meals, guides, and transportation to/from the Grand Canyon. $230beginner
March 3-5Kayak and Camp in Horseshoe Bend You've seen Horseshoe Bend from the top, or maybe you haven't? Ether way, this once in a lifetime opportunity allows you to kayak down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon! On this overnight trip, we will start by taking a boat ride up through Horseshoe Bend where we'll get dropped off, and then kayak downstream for 2 days to our takeout. The kayak portion of the trip includes kayaking on the infamous Colorado River, and taking in the breathtaking views above of the Grand Canyon rising hundreds of feet out of the water. This section of the river is very tame with no rapids at all. We will camp one night on the side of the river under the most epic stars you've ever seen! This trip includes all meals, guides, and transportation to/from the starting and ending points at Lees Ferry. $280beginner
March 14-16 Spring Break San Juan Rafting in Utah What better way to escape the cold than rafting on the San Juan River in Southern Utah. Join us for 2 nights and 3 days of rafting/kayaking 27 miles of class 2 and 3 rapids on one of the South West's favorite wild and scenic rivers. We will stop regularly along the river to explore petroglyph panels and archaeological sites and you may catch views of big horn sheep. All meals are provided and prepared by your amazing guides and we can cater to most dietary restrictions and preferences. Each night we will sleep in tents or under the stars on our own private sandy beach with the river singing you to sleep. $400beginner
March 12-16Spring Break Utah/Zion Road Trip Join us for this epic Utah adventure! We will start off the trip by spending two night in Zion National Park and exploring the Narrows, and other beautiful trails within the park. We will then spend a couple of nights near other beautiful National Parks in Utah and spend days exploring picturesque slot canyons and gorgeous overlooks. This is a road trip you won't want to miss! This trip includes all meals, guides, and transportation to/from Utah. $400beginner
March 26 Intro to Mountain Biking in Flagstaff Each year the Flagstaff area is regarded as a Mecca of world class mountain biking, join Outdoor Adventures as we spend a few hours on some of the coveted single track in the area. Never been Mountain Biking before? No problem, our instructors will help fit you to your bike and give you basic techniques and pointers throughout the ride to get you moving. This trip includes lunch, guides, mountain bikes, and transportation to/from the mountain bike trails. You must already know how to ride a bike efficiently. $75beginner
