With a focus on education, motivation, and guidance, our trainers will create a tailored exercise program that suits your fitness level and experience. Expect fitness assessments, goal setting, proper workout techniques, and valuable health education to accompany your training experience. Let us guide you on your fitness journey.

Personal training packages

Discover your fitness level and monitor your journey to reaching your objectives. Our expert trainers will assist you in evaluating:

  • cardiorespiratory endurance
  • muscular fitness
  • flexibility and balance
  • body composition

Our trainers will perform these assessments and analyze your results using standardized fitness classifications.

*Please note that each person is limited to one personal fitness assessment per semester.

Need help designing a workout? Let’s get started with 3 sessions alongside a personal trainer.

  • Session #1: Get a consultation and fitness assessment with your trainer.
  • Session #2: Your trainer will guide you through a personalized 4-week program that’s easy to follow and designed for your success.
  • Session #3: Once you’ve completed the program, meet with your trainer again to assess your progress, address any concerns, and determine your next steps.

  • Session #4: After all your hard work, you’ll receive a 6-week progression plan from your trainer to keep you on track.

Get fit with a buddy or a small group. Train with a friend or a few friends to stay on track and achieve your goals together. Buddy training is one-on-one, while small groups consist of 3–8 people.

All training sessions are 60 minutes long, and when you pay, make sure to submit your personal training packets together. If you’re interested in small group training, remember to sign up in person at the Recreation Center.

Campus Recreation strives to provide affordable one-on-one, buddy and small group training options for the NAU community. Prices are dependent upon student and recreation membership status.

How to purchase packages

Purchase your training sessions or fitness assessment online or at the front desk of the Recreation Center within the Health and Learning Center (Bldg. 25). Fill out your training packet and bring it to the Recreation Center front desk within 48 hours after purchase. Copies are available at the front desk.

Cancellation policy

Sessions that begin late will end as scheduled. Arrival more than 15 minutes late without notice will result in the loss of a session without a refund. Client-requested schedule changes or cancellations require 12-hour advance notice from the client to the trainer. Failure to do so will result in the loss of the session without a refund.

Expiration policy

Personal training packages have a limited duration and expire within the following number of weeks per session:

  • Assessment: 4 weeks
  • 3 sessions: 3 weeks
  • 6 sessions: 6 weeks
  • 12 sessions: 12 weeks
  • 18 sessions: 18 weeks
  • 24 sessions: 24 weeks
