NAU employee fitness
Our Campus Recreation employee programs promote healthy lifestyles that will encourage and support the well-being of our University employees. Whether it’s aerobics, working out in our weightroom or swimming laps, we offer an assortment of fitness and recreational activities for you to choose! Our goal is to help guide you toward the healthier and more vibrant lifestyle you deserve.

EMP Group Fitness Accordion Closed
In partnership with the Office of Employee Assistance and Wellness (EAW), Campus Recreation offers Employee-Only (EMP) Group Fitness Classes every week! These classes are designed to meet the diverse needs of our faculty/staff population with classes including yoga, pilates, step, cycle, and more!
Sign up for Outdoor Fitness Classes!
Classes are scheduled daily Monday-Friday on the outdoor fields. These classes are limited to our first 15 members and no cost registration is required via our online sales portal. When participating in classes, all participants are expected to follow the Lumberjack Way. If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com. We’re excited to see you soon!
EMP (Employee-Only) Group Fitness Class Pass – NEW!!!
Cost options: $35 / 5 classes, $60 / 10 classes, $75 / 15 classes
Campus Recreation is proud to announce the introduction of our EMP group fitness class pass! This allows NAU employees to attend Employee-Only group exercise classes without requiring a recreation center membership. Participants will be REQUIRED to present their NAU Jacks Card at the time of entry into the Campus Recreation facilities. The sessions you attend will be automatically deducted from your card when you go through the turnstiles at the Rec Center. The pass is not transferable or refundable under any circumstances and expires 1-year from the date of purchase.

Bites & Hikes – Walking routes Accordion Closed
Walking is a great way to get exercise and the Northern Arizona University campus is a beautiful place to walk! We have designed six walking routes across campus, that are perfect for a quick afternoon pick-me-up or a relaxing stroll with a friend. After exploring, refuel at any of the convenient dining spots around campus.
Walking has the lowest dropout and injury rates of all exercise programs, is easy, convenient and inexpensive — all you need is a good pair of shoes. Walking can help you:
- improve your health
- tone muscles
- lose weight
- reduce stress
- improve your sleep
- stay mentally alert

F.A.S.T. Fitness – (Faculty and staff training) Accordion Closed
Spring Session 1
Welcome to your new support group! FAST Fitness Small Group Training offers the best of both Group Fitness and Personal Training by providing interaction with peers, and the attention of a Personal Trainer to engage participants in a stronger sense of camaraderie while working to reach their goals. With groups of 3-5 individuals, you will receive immediate feedback to drive measurable results. Classes run for six weeks and are held twice per week. Register in advance, as space is limited!
Monday, January 20th – Monday, March 2nd
- Complete online payment – $150.00 for 2x/week, $175 for 3x/week.
