Free Top Rope Belay Clinics  Accordion Closed

Inexperienced climbers can learn to belay through experiential instruction by qualified staff on basic belaying skills, equipment usage and safety checks, knot tying, and safety. Participants who have completed a clinic must complete an additional Skills Assessment with wall staff prior to becoming belay certified.

Mondays 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Tuesdays 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Women in Climbing Accordion Closed

So you think rock climbing is a “manly” sport? You may have always wanted to try it, but you never thought you had the strength… well think again! Some of the best climbers in the world are women and they all started out where you are now. Come climb with other women in a safe, comfortable, and supportive atmosphere.

7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. every other Thursday beginning 1/16

Glow Climb Accordion Closed

Outdoor Adventures is kicking off the semester with a full gym Glow Climb. Patrons will get to come out to enjoy their favorite routes and boulder problems in a whole new light. We will cut the lights and enjoy a late night of some backlight climbing.

ValenCLIMB’s Day Climb Accordion Closed

Will you Be(lay) my Valentine? If you’re looking for a fun and adventurous alternative you your typical date, grab your partner and head over to the climbing wall for an evening of partner climbing!

February 14th 7-9pm

Lead Belay Clinics Accordion Closed

Ante up the intensity of your climbing! Learn to lead climb in a safe environment. The three session clinic will cover the basics of lead belaying, clipping, leading, and safe falling. Climbers must be able to climb at the 5.9 level and be belay certified at the NAU climbing wall.

2/19, 2/26, 3/4 & 3/11

Climbing Movement Clinic Accordion Closed

Great climbers don’t rely on brute strength alone to climb up a route, they also use technique. Join us for a night of learning and fine tuning hand placements, footwork, and body position as you learn proper climbing technique to get you to the next level of climbing.

January 29th. 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Cost = $15

Crack Climbing Clinic Accordion Closed

Learn how to Crack Climb! We will cover: Tape Gloves! Various finger, hand, and fist jams! Movement! Crack climbing uses advanced climbing techniques that incorporate different hand, finger, and fist jams. This clinic is designed for students between the range of beginner climbers to experienced face climbers and will give them the basic skills to tackle and understand crack climbing. Some specific skills that students will learn in the clinic are various hand jams, efficient body movement, and how to protect their hands with tape gloves.

April 1st. 6pm-8pm
