Look no further! Our camp educates and entertains children entering Kindergarten through eighth grade for ten weeks in the summer. We provide a fun and friendly environment where your children can take part in safe, high-quality activities led by well-trained and knowledgeable staff across the NAU campus. Campers must be at least five years of age by May 26, no exceptions. We&#8217;re so excited to kick of this years Lumberjack Rec Camp.<\/p>\n<p>This week we&#8217;re celebrating everything summer vacation. While soaking up the sun, campers can expect to make sun catchers as their craft for this week and sun dials for their STEM activity. This week, we&#8217;re keeping our field trip on campus, as we head over to the ATC field for a fun field day. Campers will be divided and sent on two exciting field trips this week. Our older campers (3rd grade and up) will go on an adventure at the Grand Canyon, and our younger campers will experience Willow Bend on Thursday. For STEM, we are creating miniature boats which we use for a contest to see who&#8217;s boat can hold the most weight. In addition, campers will mark their bounty with group pirate flags. For the field trip, all campers will get to explore the peaks at Arizona Snowbowl on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>All campers can look forward to the climbing wall on Tuesday and Wednesday and pool on Monday and Friday. For our field trip, we\u2019re heading to Phoenix to catch all the action at an Arizona Diamondbacks game, it&#8217;s sure to be a home run experience!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"547\" data-end=\"833\">Our STEM activities will test campers&#8217; engineering skills by building catapults that they will use in a marshmallow launching competition on Friday. Campers can expect to have several safari-themed activities like creating animal masks and safari hats and for STEM, campers will create different types of animal tracks out of clay.<\/p>\n<p>To top off this weeks excitement, on Thursday, campers will travel down to Camp Verde for Out of Africa where they will have the opportunity to see African safari animals in-person. This will definitely be an incredible adventure. For single campers, this cost will be $65, and for families with 2+ campers, they will pay $65 for each child up front, but will receive a credit towards their first week of camp for any amount paid over $130. This one-time charge is in addition to weekly camp tuition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Weekly camp costs: <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>NAU affiliates: $300 per camper per week\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the registration form, NAU affiliates will verify their status by entering their NAU ID. All IDs will be cross referenced to validate NAU status. If an NAU ID is ever abused, the individuals may be subject to penalty. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community members: $350 per camper week<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Billing information:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s what you need to know about camp payments through ProCare:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Payments are due the Monday before each camp week at 11:59pm.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Example: Payment for the week of June 8 is due June 1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may pay all at once or week by week. This is a 25 yard swim to and from (50 yards total)<\/li>\n<li>Tread water for 60 secs immediately following the 50 yard swim.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note: Life guards and camp staff have ultimate say on if a camper passes or fails their swim test, just because they compete the test does not mean they pass.
