LouieCare is designed for use at Northern Arizona University Campus Health Services and does NOT<\/span><\/strong> replace a health insurance plan. It ensures easy access to on-campus health care by eliminating deductibles, filing claims, and other hassles with your insurance carrier.\u00a0 LouieCare is NOT<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>a health insurance plan and is\u00a0NOT<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>an ACA approved health insurance plan.<\/p>\n For less than many private insurance plans’ annual deductible, you can purchase LouieCare for $175 per semester. This plan covers many, but not all, services offered through Medical Services with a small co-pay. This plan will also cover individual counseling appointments at CHS’s Counseling Services. Although the plan is open all year round to enroll, it must be paid for in full in order for the plan to be in effect. Once selected, coverage will remain in effect for the remainder of the semester and cannot be canceled.<\/p>\n Students must be registered for 1 credit hour at NAU and have paid the Health and Wellness fee to purchase Louie Care. Students can select Louie Care for the full year if they are taking classes (1 Credit hour) over the summer.<\/p>\n Overall plan prices can vary, depending on how you want to pay:<\/p>\n Participants in LouieCare will pay a $15 co-pay for primary office visit fees and a $15 co-pay for in-house labs.<\/p>\n Only the benefits listed above are included with Louiecare.\u00a0 Any services not listed are not part of the benefits.<\/p>\n While the office visit fee is less than what you would pay a private physician office visit fee, the LouieCare offers significant savings to you in the long term.
