Failure to complete the course by the deadline will result in a $50 program fine being added to your account.

If you haven’t yet received the email with the link to complete the program, please continue to check your NAU email address regularly. We will be sending out additional communications prior to the due date.
Why do I have to complete this course? Accordion Closed
The content in these educational modules are designed to help create a healthy and safe learning environment for all NAU students. The alcohol module content is designed to reduce risky alcohol consumption which can interfere with academic success and create unsafe situations. The sexual violence content helps NAU meet federal requirements of the Sexual Violence Elimination (SaVE) Act to provide prevention education to all NAU students about healthy relationships and sexual violence prevention.
What happens if I do not complete the course by the deadline? Accordion Closed

Approximately 2 hours in total for both modules.

I received a fee for not completing the course but I no longer go to NAU. What should I do? Accordion Closed
Contact the bursar’s office and ask them to remove the fee
I attended “True Life-I’m a Lumberjack” during Freshman Orientation. Do I still have to complete this course? Accordion Closed
Yes-the content in “True Life-I’m a Lumberjack” does not fulfill the requirements of the Sexual Violence Elimination (SaVE) Act. Everfi provides more in depth information and resources.
Do students need to send proof of completion somewhere? Accordion Closed
No, but it doesn’t hurt to save a copy for their records in case of an erroneous charge.
How will students find out about the program? Accordion Closed
A series of emails will be sent to student email addresses in July. The link to complete the course will be embedded in these emails. There will also be reminders from other sources, including residence halls and media messaging across campus.
Do I have to complete the program if I decide not to attend NAU? Accordion Closed
No. If you are not enrolled at NAU as of the Sept. 6 deadline, you will not receive the $50 fine.
