CAMINOS Preparation<\/h1>\n

CAMINOS Preparation is a 10-week seminar that is being held in the spring 2025, fall 2025, and fall 2026 semesters on the NAU campus. It builds a community of 15 students and prepares them for internships, undergraduate research experiences, and career competencies. A graduate student peer mentor meets with students regularly for academic or other support.<\/p>\n

Lower division undergraduate students interested in or that are declared education and STEM majors, and students who have not had a previous internship or research experience are prioritized for acceptance.<\/p>\n

Seminar topics<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. An introduction to scholarly STEM experiences<\/li>\n
  2. How to find scholarly STEM experiences<\/li>\n
  3. How to be competitive in applying for and interviewing for scholarly STEM activities and future careers<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Students will have support while they apply for their first college internship or undergraduate research. Students who complete the seminar and apply to one scholarly STEM experience will receive a $500 stipend.<\/p>\n

    The application for spring 2025 has closed. Check back for the fall 2025 application.<\/p>\n\n
