Travel to Moab<\/h1>\n

Your trip to Moab, Utah, promises to be beautiful, but travel can be challenging because Moab is small city in the rural western United States. Moab is 324 miles, or 376 km, from the closest international airport, which is in Salt Lake City, Utah. Air travel<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Reaching Moab by air first requires flying into one of the region\u2019s major airports. Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) or Denver International Airport (DEN) are the closest. From these airports, Moab can be reached by taking a flight to Colorado\u2019s Grand Junction (GJT) airport, which is 1.5 hours by rental car or shuttle. The conference will provide limited free shuttle service between Grand Junction and Moab, so that conference participants can avoid the cost of a rental car. Please contact us at\u00a0BioCrust3@nau.edu<\/a>, if you would like to use the conference shuttle.<\/p>\n

Boutique Air<\/a> is now offering daily flights between\u00a0SLC or DEN and Moab’s Canyonlands Field Airport (CNY), which is 18 miles north of Moab. Additionally, Utah Airways<\/a> provides limited service on Mondays and Fridays between SLC and CNY. More information about air service can be found on the Grand County Website<\/a>. Shuttle service <\/strong><\/h2>\n

There are several shuttle services that provide service from Salt Lake City and Grand Junction to Moab. General shuttle service is limited, and shuttles are primarily on-demand services designed for groups.<\/p>\n
