17th Biennial Conference of Science & Management on the Colorado Plateau & Southwest Region

September 8-10, 2025 – Northern Arizona University – du Bois Center

Despite recent policy changes affecting the federal land management agencies at the heart of this gathering, the 17th Biennial Conference will take place as planned. To reduce costs in 2025, as the conference returns to its roots at NAU’s du Bois Center.  The 2025 edition of the conference will also be a hybrid affair, meaning federal employees and others unable to travel can present talks and attend the conference virtually. Please download the Whova app now to start the hybrid experience!

As the conference prepares to celebrate its 35nd anniversary, organizers are re-committed to:

  1. including a wide range of disciplines and encouraging multidisciplinary approaches,
  2. ensuring broad and diverse participation, and
  3. creating and expanding opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students to gain professional experience and build professional relationships.

Please plan to join us for the 17th Biennial Conference, which has emerged as an important forum for bringing together resource managers and research scientists to discuss findings and management needs associated with the Southwest’s natural and cultural resources. This event creates an important opportunity to identify possible responses to challenges affecting the natural and cultural landscapes of the Southwest.

We look forward to seeing you next week!
