AZTrans Exhibit at the 2018 Flagstaff STEM Celebration
AZTrans operated an exhibit at the 2018 Flagstaff STEM Celebration, which was held on March 5th, 2018 at the NAU Walkup Skydome. Students from all 28 Flagstaff K-12 schools were invited, and hundreds attended the event. The transportation-focused exhibit operated by AZTrans was similar to the setup utilized at the 2017 NAU Science and Engineering day and had equipment set up to show how traffic signal systems work, as well as computers showing traffic simulation software and two traffic-related games for children ages K-8 to play. The exhibit was staffed by faculty Brendan Russo and Ed Smaglik, graduate students Sam Taylor and Cris Aguilar, and undergraduate student Emmanuel James.
