Meet an Athletic Training student

Accelerated bachelor’s to master’s in Athletic Training

Graduate in five years with your bachelor’s and master’s degrees

If you know you want to pursue a career as an Athletic Trainer as an undergraduate student, the accelerated bachelor’s to master’s in Athletic Training (MSAT) could be the right path for you.

Students will complete the requirements of either NAU’s Exercise Physiology (EXS) or NAU’s Fitness/Wellness (FW) during their undergraduate program.  After the completion of your second year, having completed at least 77 EXS credits or 81 FW credits, you will apply to the NAU MSAT accelerated program via the NAU Office of Graduate and Professional Studies, no later than January 5 of their third year.

Please contact Glenn Edgerton, MSAT Program Director, once the application has been submitted to the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies.

If accepted, you will begin the MSAT Program at the beginning of your fourth year while finishing the last 6-8 credits (upper division general elective courses) of your bachelor’s program in EXS or FW by completing the first (and second) semester graduate courses in athletic training.
