The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) annually hosts a National Concrete Canoe Competition (NCCC) in which engineering students have the opportunity to design, construct and race a concrete canoe at the Pacific Southwest Conference \u00a0National ASCE Conference events.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Steel Bridge<\/h3>\n

Each year, Northern Arizona University competes in a Steel Bridge design competition at the Pacific Southwest Conference. Through design and fabrication of a Steel Bridge model, the involved capstone students hope to place well at the PSWC and move on to the national competition next spring.<\/p>\n
