What happens to an existing subscription depends on how it was purchased:<\/p>\n

If you subscribed directly through Anthropic and transition to Claude Enterprise, your old subscription is automatically canceled when your account is migrated.<\/li>\n

If you subscribed directly through Anthropic and do not transition, your subscription is automatically canceled when the domain is claimed.<\/li>\n

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, you must cancel it yourself — NAU and Anthropic cannot cancel app-store subscriptions on your behalf. If you don’t cancel it, you may continue to be charged for an account you can no longer access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Claude Enterprise – Costs & Billing<\/h2>\n
Claude Enterprise billing works differently than standalone\/consumer accounts. It requires both a paid yearly subscription AND monthly usage credit purchases. <\/em>Claude Enterprise usage is billed monthly to your department’s speedchart. Departments set a monthly spending cap for each user, so costs stay predictable and no one can exceed their department’s approved budget.<\/p>\n
About the yearly subscription:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a “seat license,” purchased through NAU ITS; license term follows NAU’s fiscal year (July – June).<\/li>\n
Cost is prorated quarterly; billing occurs when the individual is added into Claude Enterprise.<\/li>\n
The purchase of a yearly subscription does not include any usage credits.\u00a0 In other words, purchasing a subscription doesn\u2019t let you actually use Claude; it is essentially a seat\/license fee required to have access to a Claude Enterprise account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
About the monthly usage credits and cost:<\/strong><\/p>\n

An additional monthly usage credit purchase is required in order to actually use your Claude Enterprise account. This is billed directly to the speedchart provided by the department, based on actual consumption.<\/li>\n
Departments will control costs by working with ITS to designate a monthly allowance cap for teams\/individuals in their Claude Enterprise group.<\/li>\n
Teams\/individuals cannot exceed their monthly allowance cap.<\/li>\n
Caps can be adjusted if additional usage is needed for specific projects.<\/li>\n
How are monthly usage costs calculated? Claude Enterprise monthly usage is charged at Claude’s API Rates, with usage costs that scale with model and task.\n

If you use Claude with an NAU email address, you should export any data you want to save from your current Claude account\n\n
If needed, submit a request to purchase a license for Claude Enterprise (*coming July 2026*) or Copilot Premium<\/a><\/li>\n
If you do not intend to move to Claude Enterprise, DO NOTHING. Your account will automatically be deactivated when the NAU Domain Claim occurs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
