Accessibility versus usability<\/h3>\n

Web accessibility<\/a>\u00a0ensures that users with disabilities can access the content on your website, so all of our students will have access to educational material.<\/p>\n

Web usability is how easily a user can navigate your website in order to take a particular action, such as submitting an application or completing an online assignment.<\/p>\n\n

Compliance is mandatory<\/h3>\n

A commitment to accessibility is the right thing: it gives all of our students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to succeed. However, we are also required to comply with accessibility standards.\u00a0Federal law<\/a>\u00a0mandates that people with disabilities must have access to electronic information. There are\u00a0consequences for noncompliance<\/a>, such as civil lawsuits.<\/p>\n
