Usable Materials Center
The Usable Materials Center (UMC) is a resource for the campus community to help support the university’s mission to provide an inclusive and universally designed academic environment. The purpose of the UMC is to assist in making print material and video content accessible for all users. Some examples of this include making sure a PDF document is properly tagged and formatted so that it is readable by an individual who is blind or visually impaired and using a screen-reader or adding closed captions to video content to make it accessible for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Requests for making print material or video content accessible may be made by completing the Request Form
