The <a title=\"Template for Submitting Undergraduate Policy Proposals\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2023\/09\/Template-for-Submitting-Undergraduate-Policy-Proposals-to-the-ASC-5.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">template for submitting undergraduate policy proposals<\/a>\u00a0will be submitted to <a href=\"mailto:AcademicStandards@nau.edu\">AcademicStandards@nau.edu<\/a>\u00a0for consideration by the ASC.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Once submitted, a proposal goes through the following steps:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The proposal is placed on ASC agenda and sent to committee members one week prior to the meeting;<\/li>\n<li>ASC considers the merit of the proposal and votes whether to move the proposal forward for constituent vetting;<\/li>\n<li>ASC members distribute to and collect information from their representative constituent groups;<\/li>\n<li>ASC votes on the proposal on behalf of their constituents;<\/li>\n<li>The proposal is presented to the appropriate executive offices for final approval.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The outcome of all proposal submissions are included in the ASC&#8217;s Annual Report to the Faculty Senate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Policy proposal process Faculty or staff members are welcome to submit proposals for new policies and suggested changes to existing policies.
