Traditional advertising refers to non-digital, offline marketing methods used to reach audiences. This includes print (newspapers, magazines, trade publications), broadcast (TV and radio), out-of-home placements (billboards, transit advertising, outdoor signage).<\/p>\n

Bus shelter advertising (Flagstaff Mountain Campus)<\/h6>\n
For bus shelter design reviews and approvals, select the Bus shelter poster request<\/strong> option on the Brand and Strategic Communications request form<\/a>.<\/p>\n
Digital advertising<\/h5>\n
Digital advertising includes any paid or unpaid promotional content delivered through internet-based channels such as websites, apps, and digital displays. Common formats include search engine marketing (paid search), social media advertising, display\/banner ads, and video advertising (e.g. YouTube).<\/p>\n

Digital advertising opportunities outside of university-level campaigns are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. NAU units should go directly to the City of Flagstaff to plan for reserving\/displaying city banners in town to promote NAU events\/opportunities that are open to the community.<\/p>\n
NAU campus banner reservations (Flagstaff Mountain Campus)<\/h5>\n
Campus banners can be displayed on structures near both the University Union and the DuBois Center. Reservations are required, and any advertised event must be submitted and approved prior to the banner being hung up. Nackard Pepsi Banners (Flagstaff Mountain Campus)<\/h5>\n
NAU offers the use of free banners from Nackard Pepsi both on and off campus. You design the banner with their template, and they print them for you. The VisualDESIGNLab<\/h5>\nThe VisualDESIGNLab (VDL) is a student-run design studio within NAU’s School of Communication. Students in the Visual Communication program collaborate with university and community partners to create impactful design solutions and enhance organizational branding. To request updates to permanent interior or exterior signage on campus, submit either a work order<\/strong> or a Project Initiation request<\/strong> through the Facility Services website<\/a><\/p>\n

Work orders<\/strong> are appropriate for minor updates (e.g., name changes on door plates or directory signs).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
Project Initiation requests<\/strong> should be used for larger or more complex signage updates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nTemporary signage<\/h5>\n
Exterior temporary signage is managed by the Landscape\/Exterior Space Review Team (LRT). To request temporary signage on campus, submit the Space Request Form<\/strong> available on the Space Management webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n
Facility Services manages the process from start to finish and will coordinate any required design review and approvals with the appropriate NAU teams.<\/p>\n

NAU’s WordPress training includes self-paced, in-house videos tailored to the university’s specific WordPress environment and standards.<\/p>\n

Oasis workflow<\/h6>\n
Oasis (Oasis Workflow) is a collaborative tool used to submit web edits and new pages for review prior to publication on in.nau.edu <\/strong>sites. It was previously available only on sites using the Gutenberg theme.<\/p>\n
Oasis is now installed across all Academic Affairs Marketing–supported sites (including both Enterprise and Gutenberg themes) but is not yet active. Activation is planned in the near future, and training will be provided to Academic Affairs WordPress users.<\/p>\n
