Students have the right to waive the above rights in writing
Students may waive, in writing only, their right to inspect, review, amend, and prevent disclosure of their education records. Students may either complete an “Authorization to Release Student Education Record Information” form maintained in the Office of the Registrar or must present a signed letter to the appropriate university official responsible for maintaining impacted records for each waiver request.
If the student wishes to authorize the release of records to other individuals, he or she must either provide a copy of the “Authorization to Release Student Education Record Information” form validated by the Office of the Registrar or write a signed and dated letter which describes which records may be released, states the purpose for the release, and lists the individuals to whom the records may be released.
