Sam is pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering at UT San Antonio where he is researching power and voltage variability of integrated solar PV power plants for the Texas Sustainable Energy Research Institute. HE worked for Green Earth Energy and Environmental Inc. designing solar PV systems after graduating with a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from NAU. He researched solar resource variability with Dr. Acker while working for ISES. Sam has studied and researched in Spain, where he lived in Sevilla and an eco-village completely sustained by renewable energy. After he completes his doctorate he would like to work in the renewable energy industry and continue on to become a professor.
