Dr. Constantin Ciocanel, Associate Professor, has expertise in modeling and characterization of smart materials and systems, and in development of multifunctional lightweight composite materials. The smart materials of primary interest include magnetic shape memory alloys, magnetorheological fluids, and piezoelectric materials.
